According to MY family, Runzas are funza in the bunza...the filling is made up of browned ground beef, shredded cabbage that you wilt by placing it into the browned beef, and a little finely sliced onion. I season my beef with italian seasoning and the sliced onion while it browns, then turn off the stove and add the shredded cabbage..I use about 5 lbs of ground beef, 1 onion, and 1 head of cabbage for a single batch of the roll recipe. You get 24-36 small runzas or in my house I make handfulls as hubby calls them and get 12-16. I use this bread recipe for cinnamon rolls and plain dinner rolls that are anything But plain. I can always email you a picture of a runza if you want!
