This bread was very easy and it's quite tasty too. I agree with the comments that there is probably enough dough for 2 smaller loaves; I will be going that route next time. I also think it's a bit dense, but the ease of the entire thing makes that problem (if that's what it is) easy to overcome. The one recommendation I would make is in the directions only. Classically Amber gets a little too chatty and makes it difficult to find exactly what is supposed to be going on. Once you figure that out though, this bread is great and I will certainly be using it again.

5 mitts because this is the best bread I have made with the fewest ingredients and the least amount of rising time. And best of all, it slices beautifully, so I can use it to make sandwiches.

Oh... should have read the previous post. The first time I made this bread (last week) the bread baked beautifully and tasted great, and more impressively sliced perfectly. However, half the bread ended up above the edge of the pan. I thought maybe it was a fluke. So today, my second loaf is in the oven and 2/3 of the loaf is above the edge of the pan! So, next time (which will probably be in a few days) I will use two pans.

This was a very easy bread to make (especially when I used the bread machine for the mixing and kneading). I did use whole wheat pastry flour which made it a lighter density...turned out GREAT! This recipe is definitely a keeper!

oh, yum, yum, yum! I saw this recipe late in the afternoon and decided to try it since it didn't take alot of time. I did the mixing and kneading in the bread machine, and it worked great! I ended up using two loaf pans because there was so much dough...a pampered chef loaf pan and a silicone one. Just snitched a piece before supper, and this stuff is AWESOME!!!

Hi there! I'm not sure about the greasing part...I always use stoneware when baking bread, so nothing like that is ever required since the breads comes right out after it's cooled. How did your bread turn out?

I'm in the middle of baking this bread... very excited! I greased the pan... was I supposed to? I don't think it said either way in the recipe? Hope it turns out well!

I just made this this morning. I've never made bread using wheat flour but I've made alot of breads using white. My bread turned out to be pretty dense - I'm wondering if I either mixed it too long or kneaded it with too much flour. Also, I'd probably add more honey...I couldn't really taste it. I love the flavor of the bread though and I will be making it again to see if I can iron out my mistakes! It makes a great crust that I imagine will go well with winter soups and stews! Thanks for sharing!
