These scones are AMAZING! I read reviews, where the strawberries turned to mush from the foos processor, so I diced them up instead. That made for a nice burst of goodness. They’re great when warmed and a cup of coffee or tea.

My husband loved these more than my scone recipe!:-) He said they were very flaky and light, more like a muffin than a scone. Yummy! Thanks for a great recipe.

I made these today. I was taken away for a little while in the middle by a sick child so maybe that was my mistake, but they are not as flaky as my normal scone recipe. They are okay, but not great.

Second try was success! I tried chopping my strawberries in my food processor the first time and they came out a bit mushy but I thought I would try anyway. The dough was absolutely too sticky to work with, even with adding additional flour. I knew it was because of the mush I made (and mess!) so I gave it another try by chopping the strawberries by hand. Success! These were absolutely wonderful. I will make again! Thanks.

I picked up all the items to make the scones this weekend. Can’t wait to try the recipe. Yes, plain with lots of hot rich dark coffee.
