Just made your Aunt Marilyn’s Buttermilk Banana Bread again…I’m starting to hid bananas from the kids so that I have three to make it! It is sooooo yummy and if you let it get brown on the top the crust is to die for. Thanks again Mel!

What can I say that 20 other reviews haven’t already said? Not much. I did add some crushed flax seed and some chia seeds. I only had one banana so I used some frozen blueberries. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe.

Wonderfully delicate and delectable flavors. Very sweet. Mine came out darker, but I think that is due to the size of my glass pan. Took a bit longer to cook, but all ovens vary a bit so I didn’t mind. I also sifted my dry ingredients before adding to the wet mixture. So different than the other bread. Nice change of pace.

This recipe is out of this world! I have never had a banana bread this moist and with such great flavor. My super-picky toddler can’t get enough of them. Every time he walks through the kitchen, he points at the tupperware container and asks for another muffin.

My mother makes really good banana bread but my sister was at my house and tried this and immediately asked for the recipe. It is delicious! I made it a second time and realized I was out of vanilla and it was too late to get any so I added real lemon extract and it was fabulous! I think it is more of a summer bread that way but was delicious at our family gathering! Thank you so much for sharing it!

This cake is fantastic! I augmented, as I am wont to do… added a couple shakes of cinnamon and a little shake of nutmeg, then sprinkled a generous handful of chopped pecans over the top (oh, and I gently stirred the pecans into the batter a teensy bit). I baked it in a 9×9 pan for 45 minutes and the results were heavenly. Will definitely make this again and again and again!!

My whole family loved this bread! It is without a doubt the best banana bread recipe I have ever made! By the way, it is really good served warm with a little creamy peanut butter spread on each slice. Yum!
