I now notice where it says to add milk/eggs. But still no mention or powder or the sugar thing. Also, most recipes list ingredients in the order they are used. That might have been helpful in determining where the spiced sugar went.

Recipe fails to tell you when to add key ingredients, like eggs/milk, and I was unsure if I put the 1/4 cup of spiced sugar into the batter or just on top. I just added the extra cup of sugar + cinnamon + cardamom + vanilla in with the butter/sugar. And milk/eggs after than. I accidentally failed to add the baking powder (per directions, not listed) and the muffins turned out just fine without it. I also did not top with sugar. Delicious, but I wouldn’t say I followed the recipe.
