Excellent! Doubled easily and I used 1 cup sharp cheddar & 1 cup monterrey jack. You can easily modify ingredients to suit your tastes. This also travels well!

I never had black eyed peas and this recipe sounded so good, that I knew I wanted to try them! What a great tasting dip that anyone will eat!

This was really good! Growing up in the northeast, I had never really heard about the black eyed peas/New Year’s until a few years back (on-line cooking forum + getting to know southern cooks = enlightenment), but decided to give this a whirl – loved it! A little different than what we were used to, but we enjoyed it. Thanks!

Looks like an awesome version of “Texas Cavair”. Going to try this one for sure. Glad to see Chalula Hot sauce in the pictures, it’s a favorite of mine…not vinagery like some others. Seen the salsa in stores but haven’t tried it yet, I’ll be sure to pick some up next time.

made as an appetizer with PW’s sour cream enchilada’s. It was good. the only thing that i regret is going shy on the jalapeno’s, next time i’d leave more of the membranes/seeds to add some spice.

I made this for the Super Bowl and it was delicious! I’d never even tried black eyed peas before (could barely find them in the grocery store as I didn’t know what to look for), but the simplicity of this dip called out to me. I served it with Tostitos scoops. YUM! Thanks, Ree!
