Description

Pimento cheese spread is the quintessential southern snack. A killer pimento cheese recipe must be thick and creamy, not overly mayonnaise-y and have a little extra something that no one can quite put their finger on!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Chopped Onion
  • ¾ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • 8 ounces, weight Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Divided
  • 8 ounces, weight Shredded Pepper Jack Cheese, Divided
  • ⅓ cups Drained Diced Pimentos
  • Pepper To Taste

Preparation

Place the cream cheese, garlic and onion in the food processor. Puree until smooth.

Then add the mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce and puree again.

Scrape the bowl and add half the shredded cheese. Pulse until well combined.

Pour the mixture into a large bowl. Add the remaining cheese, pimentos and pepper to taste. Mix, cover and place in the fridge. Allow the pimento cheese spread to chill and thicken for 30 minutes.

Funny, I just made pimento cheese the other week, and simply loved it. That stuff is pretty darn addicting, that’s for sure. Mine is pretty similar to yours as well. https://tastykitchen.com/recipes/appetizers-and-snacks/pimento-cheese-4/. Good job!
