So here we go, we put the oil in, poured the popcorn in. Went into another room, sat down to watch a little TV. About five minutes later, OMG! We didn’t put a lid on the pan! We had popcorn all over the kitchen, and it was still popping out!

I still to this date always pour too much popcorn in the pan. I’ll try your ratio.
