I made these today using chopped almonds, chopped dates, golden rainsins, dried cranberries, dried pineapple and dried prunes. OH my, super yummy, however next time I will only ad 1/2 the brown sugar amount, it is a bit too sweet for me. Also added two shakes of salt. they look very pretty all wrapped in saran wrap. thanks for the recipe!

I made these recently with dried figs, cranberries and raisins. They were more on the sweet side and could have been just right with some pretzel pieces or salted nuts.

agree with them being a little sweet and not having quite enough dry to compensate for the wet ingridients. i will make them again but maybe with half the sugar and adding the crisp rice like another post. great recipe

Since I didn't follow the recipe exactly, I'm not rating it. I read on previous reviews that these were a little sweet so I halved (approximately) the brown sugar and honey, and used a little maple syrup because I didn't have any molasses. The flavor and texture were great! My only complaint is that they didn't stay together very well. But I've been breaking them up and eating them with yogurt...still good.

Just made these -- easy and delicious. Toasting the oats, coconut and nuts really adds to the flavor. Might use a bit less brown sugar next time. And, I definitely will try some other add-ins .
Great addition to my snack list for boat provisioning.

As much as I loved these, they were a bit sweet for a granola bar. I also ended up adding a lot more volume in ingredients because the sugar/butter mixture would have been too much for the oats mixture. In addition to extra oatmeal, I dumped in some crisp rice cereal; it was fabulous! I will definitely be doing the same in the future.

This recipe is so flexible you could do pretty much anything with it and you don't have to worry about baking, which is a total plus for someone with an unreliable oven. Definitely my new go-to granola bar recipe!

I made these yesterday and they were outstanding! I have always wanted to try to make home made granola bars and these seemed very easy....and they were indeed! I added about a half a cup of milk chocolate chips to the recipe and is was delicious. I put it in when the granola was still a bit warm so some of the chocolate melted - Y-U-M-M-Y! My next attempt will be with peanuts and dark chocolate. (Also, I used a pan that was a bit too small and wound up with really thick bars. I wound up cutting them into little squares like granola bites and they were perfect for my small kids with small hands & appetites! They were great for just popping into grown up mouths too!) Thanks so much for the great recipe!

I agreed with the other comments and made these right away as I had all the ingredients. Overall, these were good and very easy to make!!!
I made some minor changes: used grapeseed oil instead of butter and chopped almonds for the nuts.
I will make these again but I think I will make some changes to them:
I think the molasses flavor is a little overpowering (and I like molasses). I will reduce this by 1/2-1 Tbsp and increase the honey by the same amount.
I will add 1/2 tsp salt since I use grapeseed oil instead of salted butter.
This recipe would be great with other add-ins as well...cranberries, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.
Thanks!

I made these last night and they are amazingly delicious!! I added 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips. Next time I'll try dried cranberries. The possibilities are endless. These bars are much better than baked ones. Thanks for sharing!
