Ramona, I imagine that this would not need to be refrigerated, but it might change color and texture if not.
Not sure why yours was white?

I tried making this because a friend game me a small bowl of what she said was amish peanut butter at Christmas this year. Mine turned out white looking and hers was more just like peanut butter but with a much sweeter taste. She didn’t store it in the fridge which scared me when I realized this was to be stored cold. Have you heard of any other recipes for this or can you tell me how it looks after it sits for a while? Like I said, mine was just like a marshmellowy spread. thanks!
