These were quite good. I doubled the recipe and used a half-sheet pan. These are very simple and easy, but tasty. They’ll work for breakfasts or they’d be good hot with ice cream. (Elizabeth, I don’t think this recipe would work with steel cut oatmeal.)

For my husband, please, could you provide the original? You know the “crazy amount” is not a bad option for those of us who have more people and/or fewer who “need” crazy amounts. The part that is for my husband would be desirous of “all the dried fruit.” His late sister made a fruit cake which she started in June by candying her own fruit. We would all appreciate it.
