Those are very cute! I want to try some next year when the grandbaby will be 1 1/2.

Don’t worry Erika, I’m cake/cupcake decorating challenged too! I’ve even taken the basic cake decorating course and still stink at it, so I am also a little jealous of those with decorating skills!

I, too, am piping-bag-challenged. The beautiful creations above will never come from my kitchen, lovely as they are. *sigh* But I have a GREAT go-to that requires a bowl, a spoon, and about 5 bucks worth of groceries. Buy a large bag of chow mein noodles, a bag of butterscotch chips, and some small egg candies (I use the Cadbury mini-eggs.)
In a large glass bowl, melt the chips in 1-minute increments, stirring until smooth. Then stir in the chow mein noodles. Place spoonfuls of the salty-sweet mixture in muffin cups and quickly add 2-3 eggs so they’ll stick. Et voila — birds’ nests. (Yummy ones, too.) We used to make these when I was a kid, and I have the most fun making them with my kids now. It makes 24 cupcake-sized treats.

I run and own my Preschool Daycare Tutorville and these are wonderful idea’s for our little ones. The little babies and toddlers find such delights in fun colorful things and these are fun idea’s. I am not as creative with my sweets. Looks a little hard for me. But love the idea’s. Thank you
