I made this today and it was really good. I did have to make some changes because not all the ingredients are available where I live. I used a smaller individual baguette type bread. I used a local white fresh cheese. I used butter to cook the onions in. I added some green, yellow, and orange bell peppers to the onion while it cooked. I buttered the inside of my bread as well as the outside. I loved this as did my family and will be making it again.

I’m not a big fan of French onion soup, but I have this gut feeling that I’ll like this panini! Great recipe! Thank you for sharing. I love all the step-by-step instructions as well Nothing beats the aroma of caramelized onions…mmmm…can smell it now
