I used whole wheat pastry flour, but the original used all-purpose. I think recipes that use self-rising flour specifically call for that.

I made these yesterday and they are really really good!!
My husband thought they were better cold and my daughter won’t stay away from them.
I sent some home with a friend and am waiting for her input!
Will be making these for the bake auction in November : )

You didn’t say what kind of flour – all-purpose or self rising. Does it matter which one?

I made this tonight to take to work tomorrow. (I work swing shift Sun-Thur as a supervisor of 13 people and I take a “Simple Sunday Supper” each Sunday with a main dish & dessert.) BUT, this will NOT be leaving my house. I served a warm peice to my husband, who had to have a second peice. This dessert is staying at home so he can share with friends and I now have brownies baking in the oven for to take to work. TOTALLY A THUMPS UP on this recipe and I will make again.

These look terrific but I’m confused. You posted someone else’s recipe and say you changed it but don’t post the changes in a recipe format. We’re referred to the original post. I don’t get it! (…and I want to!)
