I'm sure nobody can ever be offended by me saying that it's hard to live up to my grandmother's mole. That's just a given in any family. But when it comes to a good fusion recipe this is a great one! And I worship whoever puts bacon on everything.
My husband was equally impressed with all the flavors in this dish. (Shhh! He doesn't know the recipe called for mushrooms which I can't stand but he loves). Thanks for sharing!

Although I'm not typically a fan of the traditional, cocoa-based moles, this recipe sounds so flippin' good that I'm giving it a whirl. I also have a green mole spice blend (Savoryspiceshop.com) that I think will work perfectly. Gorgeous photo! Thanks for the inspiration.

I recently discovered mole too, and your recipe for it looks way tasty. Thanks for sharing! On a note of complete and total empathy, I went *years* calling "Don Quixote" "Don QUICKS-OAT." Until I said it to my Mexican friend one day and he was like "uhh..." Yeah. Literature major. Mortifying.
