I made these and they were the most amazing cookies I’ve ever had! They are so addicting! I gave some to my mom, who made a batch and took to work. Everyone there raved about them as well. Best cookie recipe hands down!

Oh, and I didn’t have any allspice, so I replaced the 2 tsps of allspice with 1 teaspoon cinnamon (in addition to the cinnamon that was called for), 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp cloves, and 1/2 tsp ginger.

I made these yesterday to take to our Fall Festival at church today – they were a hit! I baked them 10 minutes and they were soft (I like them that way). If your cookies are soft, make sure to put waxed paper between the layers of cookies, or they will stick together. I was very busy and decided not to take the time to use waxed paper and the cookies were all stuck together (but still very yummy!).
