I did have to bake them quite a bit longer than the recipe stated to get the crumble on top done. (Closer to 35-40 minutes vs 20-25 in the recipe.) Otherwise, beautiful and delicious!

I’ve got to be honest – I’m typing this as I’m waiting for it to cool and I’m not impressed at all. I followed the directions precisely and crust ended up being quite brown before being “firm to the touch”, I had to bake it for approx 15 minutes before that happened. Also, I couldn’t find fluid strawberry jam, so I thought regular strawberry jam would be sufficient, however I had to almost double what the recipe called for to be able to put a thin coating over the crust. Obviously after trying to complete the baking process the crust ended up burning and the strusel topping didn’t even get a chance to brown – I had to take it out and hope that something ends up being somewhat salvagable. I’m sorely disappointed as I was like a kid at Christmas to try this recipe :(
