Description

A cinch to make and so delicious. It will be your new favorite slaw, for sure!

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Chicken Breasts
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • ½ cups White Vinegar
  • 1 package Ramen Noodles, Including Seasoning Packet
  • 1 Tablespoon Season All Or Nature Seasoning
  • 4 Tablespoons Sugar Or 2 Packs Splenda
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • ½ cups Slivered Almonds
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ cups Sesame Seeds
  • 1 cup Green Onions
  • 1 cup Broccoli, Chopped
  • 1 package (about 14-16 Oz. Package) Cole Slaw

Preparation

Boil chicken for 20-25 minutes or until done, then set on towels to cool. Prepare dressing by combining oil, vinegar, ramen seasoning packet, Nature Seasoning, sugar, and sesame oil in a bottle and shaking until combined.

Saute almonds and Ramen noodles (if desired) in butter with sesame seeds until golden, then set aside to cool.

Chop green onions and broccoli, and place in a salad bowl with the cole slaw. Shred chicken with fingers once cool and add to the bowl. Add almond mixture and toss with dressing. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve for a perfect ladies lunch!

YUMMY! Made this tonight and it was fantastic! Now I must make another grocery store run so I can share this dish at a work party later in the week!

Stacey-Thank you so much, glad yall liked it!
Shana- It’s chicken flavor because of the chicken in the salad but I’ve never tried the beef. Might be good!
Tennille-It is great leftover but I would wait to add the dressing. It tastes good for about 3 days but it isn’t as crunchy when it marinates.

I want to take this as a brunch item..is it best to make the same day? Or is it good left over?

I made this last week and my husband begged me to add it to the regular rotation. So good! I did notice there was a lot of extra dressing, so I cut the oil and vinegar amounts down by 1/4 and kept all the flavorful stuff the same the second time around. There’s still more than enough dressing. Great recipe.

I made this when you first posted it and have continued to make it monthly since! Thank you so much. I have adapted a few changed. Five packets of Sweet-N-Low in place of sugar and Rice Vinegar in place of White Vinegar. Still VERY VERY Yummy!
