Description

Buttery, chewy, fudgy—do you really need more info than that? Seriously.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Flour
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ⅓ cups Butter - No Substitutions
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Milk Chocolate Chips, Divided
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Chopped, Toasted Walnuts (optional)

Preparation

Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.

Melt the butter, milk and sugar over medium low heat, stirring continuously. When just to a boil, remove from heat and immediately stir in 1 cup of the milk chocolate chips.

Transfer chocolate mixture to a large bowl and stir in the eggs, one at a time.

Stir in vanilla and flour mixture.

Fold in remaining cup of chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.

Pour batter into a greased 9×9 pan.

Bake for 30 -35 minutes at 325 degrees.

My 8 year old daughter and I made these for her cousins birthday desert today. She loved making them from scratch and everyone complimented her. We doubled the recipe and baked in a 9×13 glass pan at 350 for about 30 minutes. Thanks!

I made these on a whim last night, and me and the housemate finished half the pan in 10 minutes. MMMMmmMMMM. I must admit to adding 1/4 cup more flour as I like a cakier brownie.

Beautiful brownies, thank you so much for this recipe!

Great tasting and easy to make! Always looking for a recipe that I don’t need to melt chocolate ( I always over expose) so melting the chips into the milk was perfect for me. Everyone loved them!

I made this last weekend, and it was a hit. We made brownie sundaes with them — yum! Easy recipe, and very good. Thanks!

These were pretty good, but I’m still on the hunt for the best brownie recipe.

These are by far the best ‘from-scratch’ brownies I’ve ever made. They came out moist, a little dense but still light, very chocolatey – and best of all, they are so easy! Definitely a keeper to make again and again.

I loved these brownies! They are definitely some of the most beautiful brownies -nice shiny tops- I’ve made and they have a great chewy texture. I may use semi-sweet chips next time, just for a more chocolatey flavor.
