  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Salt

Made this for Thanksgiving-the cute story behind it and the cinnamon flavor was exactly what Iwas looking for in a fall pie…also-totally something NEW…I love when things of old turn up again as fresh an inspiring!

It was VERY simple to make, and thankful for that, however, I pourly chose to use a frozen pie shell, and it came out half baked :( Rookie mistake-and it DID need to cook much longer than directions gave..a good 20min..might have been my oven…HOWEVER-the exciting part was that the top DID turn that color of dark brown very easily! Not sure if it was the cinn/sug floating up….the ONLY downfall….texture:( Not as smooth and creamy inside as I’d hoped for and both my father and son gagged on it-lol! But a simple, fun, and cheap pie to try…make sure you tell the ‘Bob Andy’ horse story from the Amish farmer, livens the pie up in a new ay for guests!

Help! I am making this now.. the night before thanksgiving for tomorrow. It’s puffed up a lot and not set! it has been in the oven almost 90 min. I followed the directions perfectly. Is it supposed to do this????

Easy to make and tastes great if you like custard pie! It does take longer to bake though.

I have never cared for custard pie, but this was incredible! So delicious. I love the cinnamon flavor thoughout and especially the layer on top. I baked mine about 75 minutes until it was set.

This pie is dadgum delicious! It was so easy to prepare and it really wows the family. The only issue I had was the baking time. At 50 minutes it was still very liquidy. At 90 mins it was slightly better. So I cranked it up to 350 and it was done in 10 mins. It could have been my oven, the phase of the moon, or whatever. It was worth the tweaking. I’ll make it again.

I don’t know WHY it’s called Bob Andy pie, and I don’t care. It’s GOOD. and EASY. I had all the ingredients on hand last night! I liked it slightly warm last night and cold this morning for breakfast (hey! it has eggs!). It’s so fresh tasting and has the perfect amount of cinnamon. It’s a great summer pie. I did use half half-and-half and half whole milk (needed to save some for the munchkin) and it turned out great. Great dish to impress people for a dinner party or the dessert course of a potluck. Make it!
