Description

Manuka Honey Sriracha Tofu, a juxtaposition of sweet and spicy, soft and crunchy, healthy and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces, fluid Firm Tofu
  • 4 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 4 Tablespoons Sriracha
  • 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce Or Braggs Liquid Amino Acids
  • 3 Tablespoons Manuka Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1  Scallion, Finely Chopped

Preparation

Drain tofu and wrap in paper towel to remove excess water. Slice tofu into about 1-inch cubes.

Mix garlic, Sriracha, soy sauce, honey and vinegar together with a fork to break up the firm Manuka honey, and get all ingredients combined nicely. Set aside.

Heat a medium skillet or sauce pan over high heat and add vegetable oil. When the oil is hot (almost smoking), add tofu cubes. Fry on each side for 2–3 minutes without touching or tossing too much (they will fall apart), until golden brown.

Add Sriracha honey sauce and gently coat tofu cubes. Cook for an additional 3 minutes on medium heat.

Remove from heat and top with sesame oil and sesame seeds. Gently give it one last gentle stir to evenly coat tofu cubes and serve topped with scallions.
