Description

Roasted green beans, garlic, bacon, caramelized onions and mushrooms make a perfect dairy-free stand in for green bean casserole this Thanksgiving!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Snipped And Cleaned Fresh Green Beans
  • 2 slices Crispy Cooked Bacon, Diced
  • ¼ whole Red Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Thickly Diced
  • 4 whole Cremini Mushrooms, Thinly Sliced (not Shown)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 dash Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 F. Put green beans, bacon, onions, garlic and mushrooms in a large bowl. Combine olive oil, nutmeg, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce in another bowl. Add it into the bowl with the veggies and toss to combine. Put them onto a large baking sheet. Bake at 425 F for 15-20 minutes until onions are caramelized and green beans are soft (but not mushy) and not longer crisp.
