Description

A meal in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (32 oz. size) Stewed Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 4 cups Condensed Chicken Broth
  • 4 cups Water
  • Salt, Red Pepper Flakes And Garlic Powder, To Taste
  • 2 packages Hot Italian Sausage - 8 Links Total
  • 1 package Buitoni Mixed Cheese Tortillini - 20 Oz
  • 8 cups Baby Spinach Leaves
  • Grated Smoked Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

1. In large soup pot, combine tomatoes, broth, water, garlic powder, hot pepper flakes and salt. Bring to boil.

2. In frying pan, remove sausage from casing, and brown as you break it up into pieces. Drain fat and place on paper towel to absorb grease. Then add the cooked sausage to the broth.

3. Bring to boil, add tortellini, and spinach leaves. Lower heat and cook until spinach leaves are wilted, and tortellini is cooked. DO NOT OVERCOOK.

4. Add salt (if using) to taste.

5. Serve with finely grated smoked cheddar cheese.
