Description

My husband’s chili recipe—if you like hot and spicy chili, then give this one a try.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Bacon
  • 1 whole Onion, Minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 21 whole Hot Banana Peppers, Chopped Coarsely
  • 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 can (28 Oz. Size) Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 1/2 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Ro-Tel Diced Tomatoes And Green Chiles, Hot
  • 1 can (6 Oz. Size) Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Red Curry Paste
  • 3 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
  • ½ Tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon Tabasco Sauce
  • 1 can (16 Oz. Size) Black Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 1 can (16 Oz. Size) Navy Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 1 can (16 Oz. Size) Kidney Beans, Drained And Rinsed

Preparation

1. Cook bacon in a large chili pot to desired crispness, remove from pot, and crumble. Set aside.

2. Drain some of the bacon drippings, leaving enough to saute vegetables. Saute onion, garlic, and hot peppers over medium high heat until vegetables are tender.

3. Add beef and continue to cook until beef has browned.

4. Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, Rotel, tomato paste, red curry paste, chili powder, crushed red pepper flakes, Cajun seasoning, cinnamon, and Tabasco sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

5. Add beans and crumbled bacon and continue simmering for another 30 minutes.
