Description

This is one of my family’s favorite soup. The ketchup is the key to the great flavor!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Green Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 cup Sweet Onion, Chopped
  • 24 ounces, weight Stewed Tomatoes
  • 24 ounces, weight Frozen Mixed Vegetables
  • 10 ounces, fluid Beef Broth
  • 6 ounces, fluid Ketchup

Preparation

Brown ground beef, green pepper and onions in a stock pot; drain grease, if any. Add stewed tomatoes, mixed vegetables, beef broth and ketchup. Simmer for three hours.

If you would like some sweetness to your broth, add some sugar to your taste.

i didnt have time to simmer for 3 hours but 30 min and it was really good. i have leftovers so they may be better! my 3yr old at 2 bowls! awesome throw together one pot meal!
