Description

My mother made this as I was a child, and we never found another name. She called it “stuff” and that is still the only name that fits it! :) It is super simple, cost-efficient, and most of all, YUMMY. It warms the tummy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Hamburger Meat
  • 1 can (large 26 Oz. Can) Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can (large 26 Oz. Can) Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped
  • 1 whole Bell Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Navy Beans
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Pinto Beans
  • 10 drops Tabasco Sauce

Preparation

Brown hamburger meat and drain (I usually mix the onion and bell pepper in with the hamburger meat while it cooks). Mix all other ingredients with hamburger meat and heat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer.

The Tabasco sauce may be left on the table while serving, because each individual person may choose to add more to their own serving. This chili-like meal is complete and ready for everyone to enjoy.

This is very yummy! Simple yet satisfying. I love the combination of textures between the beans, beef, veggies, and creamy sauce. It’s a winner.

I admit at first when I read this recipe several months ago I wasn’t sure if I would ever try it, but I saved it anyway. Boy and am I glad I did. This is so good. I served it over instant brown rice cooked in beef broth and added a ½ can of milk to the soup to make it a bit saucier for the rice. It is so good. Simple and satisfying. I am pregnant and have little to no appetite not to mention crazy food aversions. This is the most food I have eaten at one sitting in weeks. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
