This recipe is delicious. I made it the other night for dinner and my husband had 3 helpings and brought some leftovers to work the next day. One of the guys at his work tried it and LOVED it also! He has since asked my husband for the recipe so his wife can make it! This one is a keeper for sure!

I have wanted to try making chicken and dumplings for a looong time. I put your recipe in my box a while back, and your being a featured TK member reminded me of it. I made it the other night and wow! This was such a delicious dinner! I loved, loved, LOVED the cornmeal in the dumplings! I have never had them with that before and it added such a great flavor and texture! Everyone in my family (all nine of us) just inhaled it! Thank you so much for the recipe that I will now add to my favorite dinner pile!

This was the best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had. The texture was excellent and it was easy. I didn’t have any celery so I used mushrooms instead and it was delish. Next time I’ll use more solids (carrots, mushrooms, celery, chicken) and maybe top with some crumbled bacon. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I just finished making this! So easy and absolutely fabulous! I have made Chicken and Dumplings loads of times, but this is the best. I made only slight modifications – I did not use the tumeric (I don’t like tumeric), I used 5 chicken leg quarters, and I used 2% milk instead of heavy cream. I used just enough milk to come to the same consistency as the photo on the blog.
This will become part of our regular routine! Thank you!

LOVED this recipe! The cornmeal was a wonderful addition. I didn’t have fresh thyme, so I subbed 1/2 tsp dried thyme and it worked just fine. I think next time I will add more carrots bc we enjoy veggies. Otherwise, I wouldn’t change a thing. Super yummy!

AMAZING! By far the best chicken & dumpling recipe that I’ve tried. Even my husband (who isn’t a chicken & dumpling fan) loved it. I used chicken breasts and omitted the celery. Next time, I think I will try to use regular milk instead of the heavy cream. Will definitely be making this one again.

I made this for myself when I was sick a while ago because it was the only kind of thing I could imagine trying to ingest. It was so simple to make and had a rich chicken flavor. There is something magical when it comes to recipes such as this when it comes to making you get better. I will definately make this again sick or not.

This is AMAZING! After almost 8 years of being married, I have finally found a recipe for chicken and dumplings that my husband approves of. I have never been able to make good dumplings, but these were great! Thanks, parsleythief!

This was my first go at chicken and dumplings. It was perfect. I replaced the chicken with my vegitarian chicken from the asaian market and subbed soy milk for the cream. I love the mix of spices.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful feedback! Nothing makes me happier than to know how much this recipe pleased so many people…and their husbands, wives, or kids!
I love it too!
My husband & kids go so bananas for these dumplings, that I have been adding them to other recipes, such as chicken soup, vegetable soup, or beef stew. They are so easy too!

I love chicken and dumplings but for some reason, was always intimidated to make this dish. Wow, wish I hadn’t waited so long. This was delicious and really easy to make. Even better the next day. I thought the cornmeal in the dumplings would be a little weird but it gave it a nice texture without being overwhelming. This is a keeper for sure!

Looks super! My grandmother always made the regular flour dumplings which were delicious and fun to eat. Can’t wait to add the cornmeal to them and taste the difference. Great recipe.
