Description

One time the kids asked “what kind of soup are you making Mom?” Overhearing this, my husband told them it was Snake Soup! To which they replied, “eeewwwww!” The name stuck because ever since then we refer to it as Snake Soup. This soup is good to serve on a cold day!

Ingredients

  • 3 stalks Celery, Chopped
  • 2 stalks Green Onion, Chopped
  • 1 whole Carrot, Grated
  • ½ sticks Butter
  • 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 1 can Water
  • 3 cans (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Potato Soup
  • 10 ounces, weight Cheddar Cheese (I Use Sharp Cheddar)
  • 8 ounces, weight Sour Cream
  • Black Pepper And Dried Parsley To Taste

Preparation

Sauté celery, green onion and carrot in ½ stick of butter.
Add the Cream of Chicken soup and water (just use the soup can and put one can of water into the mixture). Simmer 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and heat for 15-20 minutes. Add black pepper and dried parsley if desired.

Yes…my husband is the same way…you can omit the onions and it still tastes good! My kids and I love it like it is.

This looks delicious! I’m always looking for a good soup recipe. My husband won’t eat green onion, but the rest looks like it would be a hit!
