Description

This is my new favorite side dish. Frozen corn kernels are cooked with crispy bacon then seasoned with paprika, salt and pepper. Start to finish in 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • ½ pounds Bacon, Chopped Into Chunks
  • 1 pound Frozen Corn Kernels
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika, Or To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt, Or To Taste
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper, Or To Taste

Preparation

Heat a skillet over medium heat and once it’s hot add the bacon. Fry the bacon until about 75% as crisp as you want it to be. If there is an excessive amount of fat, drain some until no more than 2 tablespoons remain in the skillet.

Add the frozen corn and sauté, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes or until cooked through.

Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Serve

NOTE: The amounts aren’t important. Cook the amount of corn you usually would for your family, along with however much bacon you want to eat. Then, just season to taste!

This is so good. We are always looking for new ways to cook veggies so it is not the same old, same old. I added butter to ours because I’m a butter fanatic.
