Description

Paneer capsicum masala is a rich cashew-based gravy with paneer and green bell pepper.

Ingredients

  • 15  Whole Cashew Nuts
  • 3 teaspoons Oil
  • 1 pinch Cumin Seeds
  • 1  Red Onion, Chopped Fine
  • 2  Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • ½ cups Bell Pepper, Cubed
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • Salt To Taste
  • ¾ cups Paneer, Cubed
  • Crushed Kasuri Methi, For Garnish

Preparation

1. Soak cashews in water for 20 minutes. Grind to a smooth paste.
2. Heat oil in a kadai and throw in cumin seeds. Once cumin is browned, add onions and saute till they turn pinkish.
3. Add the tomato and saute till cooked and mushy. Add the green bell pepper cubes and saute for 3–5 minutes.
4. Add chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder and mix well.
5. Add water and salt. Bring to a boil. Add the cashew paste and mix well. Let cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add the cubed paneer and continue to cook till it reaches gravy consistency.
7. Garnish with crushed kasuri methi and serve hot.
