Description

One night a couple of months ago, my older sister and I couldn’t decide what to eat for dinner. So, she wanted to make eggs and pancakes, and I came up with this.

Ingredients

  • 5 whole (large) New (red) Potatoes, More Or Less Depending On How Many People You Are Cooking For
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2-½ cups Milk (Whole Milk Tastes Better)
  • Salt To Taste
  • Mrs. Dash's Seasoning Blend "Italian Medley" (any Seasoning Will Do, But This One Is Soo Good!)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350-375 degrees.

Get a 9″ by 13″ glass pan/dish. Chop potatoes into small, bite-sized cubes; spread in the pan.

Take butter and place small, half-tablespoon slices across the top evenly. It took about 12 slices for me.

Next, gently pour the milk all over the top. It should almost submerge the potatoes, but not to where you can’t see them.

Add salt to taste. Remember, though, that potatoes NEED salt. So don’t skimp. :)

Finally, sprinkle a generous amount of the Mrs. Dash’s Seasoning Blend “Italian Medley” All Natural – No MSG. It does NOT have any salt in the blend. Keep that in mind when salting.

I baked these for about an hour, give or take. The time also depends on how many potatoes you use, and how hot your oven runs. Potatoes need to be fork tender. If they are under-done it doesn’t taste right.

It gets a layer of surface tension over the top as it bakes. I like to break it, and stir the potatoes around a little. By the time the potatoes are done baking, the milk/butter/seasonings will have turned into a nice gravy-like thing!

Make this very soon. I promise that you’ll like it. If you don’t, then I suggest going to a doctor to check your taste-buds. :D

Enjoy!
