Description

I’ve been eating these beans since I was a kid. They’re rich, tangy and probably the best baked beans you’ll ever eat!

Ingredients

  • 4 strips Bacon, Diced
  • ½ cups Onion, Diced Very Small
  • 3 cans (about 16 Oz. Size) Pork And Beans
  • ½ cups Ketchup
  • ¼ cups Molasses (un-sulphured)
  • ¼ cups Dark Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Clove
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Mustard

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350ºF.

Heat up a 3-quart Dutch oven (or oven-safe pot) on medium heat. Cook the bacon with the onions at the same time, stirring every so often. Once the onions are soft and the bacon is cooked, remove them off the heat.

In a bowl combine the beans, ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, ground clove and mustard. Stir and add this into the pot with the onions and bacon. Stir again, place the lid on and slide it into your preheated oven. Bake for a total of 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
