This recipe ( with a few differences) has been in my family for at least 50 years. My mother started making it as a holiday dish when I was young. The main difference is I used long grain raw rice and have added mushroons, pimentos, chopped fresh celery along with the onion that are sauted in butter, then stired into the rice, soups, cheese and brocoli

Made this for Easter and everyone loved it. I did use cooked brown rice instead of the Minute rice

This is an excellent recipe!! My mother has made this for years & it’s a staple for our Thanksgiving meal. It is really a wonderful comfort food dish that is a true treasured favorite. Our recipe actually doesn’t call for the cream of chicken soup only cream of mushroom, but I’ll have to try it with that added.
