Description

The most awesome baked beans you’ll ever eat, no lie. I first tried these at a neighbor’s house, and she has thankfully given me the OK to share the recipe! Everyone who has tried them wants the recipe, you’ll be so glad you tried them, too.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce
  • 1 whole Granny Smith Apple, Peeled & Diced
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Golden Raisins
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • ¼ teaspoons Red Pepper (or Less To Taste)
  • 2 cans Pork & Beans, 16oz (drained)
  • 3 slices Applewood Bacon

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl, stir all ingredients except the drained beans and bacon. Fold beans in carefully so as not to smash the beans. Pour into a greased 2 quart baking dish. Place bacon slices on top. Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes.

Tip: Doubles perfectly for parties. If feeding little people, or anyone who may not like the hot stuff, reduce the red pepper or omit completely.
