Description
An unbelievably easy, wonderful tasting apple dish handed down through our family. Great for the holidays or anytime you want to impress your guests. Works as a side dish for ham or turkey, and also as a dessert, served with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
- 1 jar (about 50 Oz. Jar) Chunky Applesauce
- 1 can (20 Oz. Can) Pineapple Chunks, Drained
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 stick Butter, Softened
- ½ cups Nuts (optional)
Preparation
In a bowl, stir together the applesauce and drained pineapple chunks. Set aside.
In another bowl, blend together flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in softened butter until mixture is crumbly (I do this with my hand). Spread on top of the applesauce/pineapple mixture.
Sprinkle with nuts and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
