Description

The title piqued your interest, huh? Well, yeah! It should! Just because it’s the best dern mashed potato I’ve ever encountered. (And trust me, I’ve never met a potato I didn’t like). So go on, give in to your temptation and check it out!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Russet Potatoes
  • ⅓ cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Salt
  • ¼ cups Truffle Cheese, Plus 2 Tablespoons For Topping

Preparation

1. In your favorite way to make mashed potatoes (whether it be a ricer, which is mine, hand mixer, fork, etc.), combine all of the ingredients.
2. Place mashed potatoes in individual ramekins, top with 2 tablespoons cheese, and place under the broiler for approximately 5 minutes, or until well browned.
3. Mmm. Serve and enjoy!

Thanks yardsailor, for going to the effort to find that information. It sounds good doesn’t it? I will check it out and maybe order some just to try it. Too bad we live on opposite sides of the continent, -it would be fun to try some together!

I did find this when I googled it, I had never heard of it either. http://www.mom-mom.com/truffle_cheese.htm

There is some available on amazon from a Wisconsin cheese store, its about $16 for 8 oz.

Sounds wonderful, but pricey.
