Description

My Aunt Sue brought this to Thanksgiving dinner many years ago. It’s a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 package 10 Oz Frozen Broccoli
  • 1 can (10 3/4 Oz.) Cream Of Broccoli Soup
  • ½ cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten
  • ¼ cups Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cups Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter, Melted
  • ¼ cups Fine Dry Bread Crumbs

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375F. Butter a 10×6 baking dish.

Cook broccoli and drain. Blend soup, cheese and egg. Add mayo and milk. Stir in broccoli and pour into prepared dish. Combine butter and bread crumbs, sprinkle over top. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes.

You can substitute cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup for the cream of broccoli.

Made for Mothers Day dinner. Very good but needed a little salt and pepper. Also recipe didn’t say what kind of frozen broccoli to use. I used frozen flowerettes-a 16 oz pack-there was plenty of sauce for that much. Make sure to undercook broccoli since it is in the over for 30 more minutes. I used cream of broccoli soup.
