I’ve tried this with corn in the past 2 weeks and it is a MIRACLE! I didn’t add the butter to the water, just milk & sugar. Won’t go back to plain water EVER.

This was heavenly. This time of year is early for sweet corn so you never know how sweet it’ll be. This recipe made it taste like candy. It was so sweet and yummy.

It’s still a bit early for sweet corn in Indiana, but I tried this recipe tonight with some sweet corn from a roadside stand and it was AMAZING. Very different from the way that I usually make sweet corn – which also usually turns out well but isn’t even close to foolproof – so I am anxious to try making it this way a few more times to see if the results are this wonderful every time. Excellent recipe!

This really was the best ear of corn I’ve ever eaten in my life! I’ve shared it with my entire family and even the guy that checked me out at Trader Joe’s the other day.

my mother was a farm girl and i’d forgotten that she always insisted this was the best way to cook fresh corn, how often do we listen to our mothers?! thanks!

I decided to try this and you were so right! The corn was tender (no salt added per your direction) and delicious. I served it to company this way and they loved it. I will always do it this way from now on!

Oh boy this really was so delicious!!! I will be making it like this all summer, for sure.
I used Skim Milk since it’s all I had and it was still yummy! Definitely a bit different than just plain water. Highly recommend.
