Description

The BEST baked beans, ever! Hearty, not too sweet, lots of texture, just the right spice.

Ingredients

  • 6 strips Bacon, Chopped
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 2 cans Pork N Beans
  • 2 cans Red Kidney Beans
  • 1 can Butter Beans
  • ¼ cups Barbecue Sauce
  • ¼ cups Ketchup
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Molassas
  • 2 Tablespoons Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Picante Sauce

Preparation

Fry bacon and onion in a large stock pot. Rinse and drain butter beans and kidney beans. Add all beans to bacon and onion. Mix ketchup, barbecue sauce, sugars, mustard, molasses, salt, and salsa. Blend, then add to bean mixture. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

** I bake uncovered for thicker beans. Bake covered if you prefer thinner.

** Can also cook in crockpot.
