Strawberry Spinach Salad

Description
Fresh and wonderful… This is easy to make and it’s a great replacement for a fruit salad or a green salad.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Poppy Seeds
- ¼ cups Sugar
- ½ cups Olive Oil
- ¼ cups Red Wine Vinegar
- ¼ teaspoons Paprika
- ¼ teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Shallot
- 2 Tablespoons Minced Nuts
- 10 ounces, weight Fresh Spinach, Rinsed, Dried And Torn Into Bite-size Pieces
- 1 quart Fresh Strawberries, Cleaned, Hulled And Sliced
- ¼ cups Chopped Nuts
- 1 whole Shallot, Sliced And Rings Separated
- ¼ cups Feta Cheese
Preparation
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, shallots and minced nuts. Cover the bowl and chill for one hour or less. If you chill it any longer, the dressing will congeal (become a mass of solid goop).
In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries, nuts and shallot rings. Top with the feta. Pour dressing over salad and toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
