Use pork in a new way in this fresh, Asian-inspired salad.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE PORK CHOPS:
  • ¼ cups Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Marsala Wine (or Any That You Have On Hand)
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 whole Lime, Juiced
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Ginger, Minced Or Grated
  • 4 whole Boneless Pork Loin Chops
  • FOR THE DRESSING:
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • ½ whole Jalapeno, Chopped (remove Some/all Seeds Depending On Spice Preference)
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Ginger, Minced
  • 1 whole Lime, Juiced
  • FOR THE SALAD:
  • Salad Greens And Other Desired Veggies For Salad

Preparation

For the pork chops:
Combine soy sauce, olive oil, marsala wine, brown sugar, garlic, lime juice, and fresh ginger in a shallow baking dish (8×8 dish or small casserole pan). Place your meat in the dish, cover and refrigerate at least an hour (preferably 4 hours or longer). Flip meat halfway through marinade time.

Heat grill to high heat and grill chops. Cook about 5-8 minutes per side or until internal temperature is 140ºF. Remove from grill and allow to rest 5-10 minutes. Then thinly slice.

For the dressing:
Whisk together the dressing ingredients (except greens/veggies).

For the salad:
Lightly toss your favorite greens in prepared dressing. Top with thinly sliced steak.
