Description

Spicy Crab and Avocado Salad: sweet lump crab, paired with creamy avocados and a kick of spice.

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces, weight Cooked Lump Crab Meat
  • 1 stalk Scallion Diced
  • 1 teaspoon Finely Minced Serrano Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Hot Sauce
  • ½ Tablespoons Lime Juice
  • ¼ teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • Kosher Salt And Pepper To Taste
  • 1 whole Large Avocado, Halved And Seeded
  • Garnish With Chives And Additional Old Bay Seasonings

Preparation

In a bowl, gently combine the crab, scallion, serrano pepper, mayonnaise, hot sauce, lime juice and Old Bay seasoning. Taste and season with additional salt and pepper. Refrigerate the crab mixture for 30 minutes.

Spoon half of the crab mixture into each of the avocado halves. Sprinkle with a dash of Old Bay seasoning and top with chives.
