Reminds me of my Grandma Cowell’s classic Saturday lunch menu item. We called it “Overnight Salad”, which actually if you did your salad and put it in the fridge overnight…same idea………..super awesome. Thanks for reminding me how much I missed that kind of salad. You rock!

I actually have had this salad in my family for years, we call it 7 Layer Salad. My Mom made it for every large family function and I now make it at Holidays and Family parties.
Our take; Ranch Dressing. Yes, out of the bottle!
Can’t wait to try this dressing and test it with the family.

Loved this salad – took it to a 4th of July potluck yesterday and it was a hit! My dad even said it tasted like there was a party in his mouth :)

We absolutely loved this salad! Will be my new go-to summer salad. Actually getting ready to make it again for my husband’s graduation open house in two days.

We’ve been making this recipe for years under the handle of “Seven Layer Salad”…..and it’s a very delish summer main dish salad!

Here are some variations . . . ham dices, sliced radishes or grated carrots (great color and good for you, too!), little broccoli or cauliflower florettes….so pretty and good for your guts!

Take this to a church potluck, but serve it in a glass 13×9 pan….toss right before serving or let each diner just dig in. Yum!

I made this salad for my first big Christmas dinner and it was fabulous! The only thing I did differently was omit the spinach – my family isn’t super into spinach. Great salad!

I have to admit, I was a little worried about what this would taste like. I shouldn’t have been. This was absolutely delicious. The one change we made was substituting romaine for the iceberg. This will become a summer staple at our house.
