Description

Easy falafel is one of the best ways to replace meatballs and try something vegetarian. It is a healthy alternative for those who want to avoid fat.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE FALAFEL:
  • 425 grams Canned Chickpeas
  • ⅓ cups Chopped Parsley
  • 3  Onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • 4 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • FOR SAUCE
  • ½ Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tablespoons Hummus
  • 1 teaspoon Dill
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Pressed
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 50 milliliters Water

Preparation

Wash chickpeas with cold water and drain dry. Add to a blender. Add parsley, onions, garlic, sesame seeds, cumin, salt, and pepper. Blend into small pieces.

Transfer everything into a bowl. Add flour and mix. Gather into a ball, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Form small pancakes or balls (or any form you like). Add oil to a pan and fry on both sides, about 6–8 minutes.

For the sauce, in a bowl add lemon juice, hummus, dill, garlic, and salt. Add a little bit of water and mix.

Serve falafel with sauce and enjoy.
