Description

A scrumptious salad made at the turn of the century in the oldest city in America – St. Augustine, FL.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Iceberg Lettuce, Cut Up
  • 1 whole Tomato, Cut Into Eighths
  • 3 slices Sweet Onion
  • 1 ounce, fluid Swiss Cheese, Julienned
  • 1-½ ounce, fluid Ham, Julienned
  • 1-½ ounce, fluid Turkey, Julienned
  • 5 whole Green Olives
  • 2 whole Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • ½ teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoons Oregano, Dried
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ¼ cups White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ½ teaspoons Salt, Or To Taste
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper Or To Taste
  • 3 Tablespoons Romano Cheese, Grated

Preparation

1. In a medium bowl, toss together lettuce, tomato, onion, swiss cheese, ham, turkey and olives.
2. Place garlic, oregano and worcestershire sauce in a small bowl, whisk until smooth.
3. Slowly whisk in olive oil.
4. Stir in vinegar and lemon juice.
5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
6. Pour dressing over salad and toss well.
7. Add Romano cheese and toss. Serve immediately.

Makes one 400 calorie serving.
