Description

Apple, pear, and pomegranate make a great salad for Christmas. Pomegranate seeds look like gems on a plate! It’s refreshing, easy, yet delicious.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SALAD:
  • 1 whole Honey Crisp Apple (you Can Change To Your Preference), Thick Julienned
  • 1 whole Bosc Pear, Thickly Sliced
  • ½ whole Lemon Juice
  • ½ cups Fresh Pomegranate Seeds
  • _____
  • FOR THE DRESSING:
  • 3 Tablespoons Pom Wonderful Juice
  • 3 Tablespoons Sparkling Apple Cider
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • ¼ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (optional Depending On Your Preference)

Preparation

Mix sliced apple and pear in a bowl. Squeeze lemon juice over them. This is to prevent apple from getting brown too fast.

Make a dressing by combining Pom juice, apple cider, Dijon mustard, and salt and pepper in a small bowl. Taste to correction. You can add olive oil if you wish. I added it the first time but omitted it later times. I find omitting olive oil suits my taste buds better. Add pomegranate seeds. Mix to coat.

Pour dressing over the rest of the salad when ready to serve. Serve immediately or leave it in the fridge until you are ready to serve.

Note: you can double the proportion to the number of your guests.
