Description

I don’t like broccoli, but I love this salad! I don’t like traditional creamy coleslaw either, and this slaw is nothing like that slaw at all. Crunchy, colorful, with a bit of oriental flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 Oz.) Broccoli Slaw Mix (Found In The Produce Department Near The Coleslaw Mixes)
  • ½ whole Small Red Onion, Diced
  • 1 package (3 Oz.) Chicken-Flavored Ramen Noodles
  • ⅓ cups Slivered Almonds
  • ¼ cups Sunflower Nuts (without The Shell)
  • ⅓ cups Oil (olive Or Vegetable)
  • ½ cups Seasoned Rice Vinegar
  • ½ cups Sugar (Use More Or Less To Taste)

Preparation

Mix slaw, chopped onions, crushed up Ramen noodles (crush with your hands), almonds and sunflower seeds together in a bowl.

Make dressing with oil, vinegar, sugar and add the packet (or as much of the packet as you’d like) of flavoring from the Ramen noodles.

Add dressing to your taste and mix well.

Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to mingle.

Hey, this sounds delicious! I too am not a big fan of cooked broccoli but love it raw. I have one problem with your recipe though, as I’m from Norway and have no idea what a Broccoli Slaw Mix consists of ? Broccoli and cabbage ? I will try this asap with broccoli, cabbage, carrots and red onions, as those are my favorite salad veggies. Thanx for the recipe!
