Description

With Spring around the corner for most, some outdoor dining may be on your mind. This apple-fennel combination is so flavorful and easy to put together.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SLAW:
  • 1 head (Small To Medium Size) Green Cabbage (Cored And Shredded)
  • 2 whole Apples (Your Choice, I Use Tart Apples) Cored, Shredded
  • ½ whole Fennel Bulb (washed, Shredded)
  • FOR THE DRESSING:
  • 1 whole Lemon, Zest And Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 pinches Nutmeg
  • 3 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

Preparation

Into a large mixing bowl add shredded green cabbage, shredded apples and shredded fennel. Mix with two spoons.

In a small bowl (or jar) add dressing ingredients and whisk (or seal the jar and shake) well. Add dressing to the slaw mixture and toss to combine. Wrap bowl in plastic and refrigerate until ready to serve.

This is great for outdoor picnics or dining. It’s a family favorite with grilled hamburgers! Enjoy.
