Delicious and light homemade pesto with whole wheat pasta.
1. Boil water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of olive oil. Wait for it to boil. In the meanwhile …
2. Wash basil and pat dry with paper towels. Place in a blender.
3. Take the garlic cloves and throw them in the blender.
4. Start the blender and slowly add 1 cup of olive oil until desired texture is reached.
5. Once water is boiling, throw uncooked pasta into the pot and wait until pasta is al dente or fully cooked (whichever you prefer). Once pasta is done, drain pasta into a colander, place drained pasta into a plate and scoop 3 tablespoons of pesto into each plate.
6. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
