Description

Turkey burgers made into sliders – with bell peppers sauteed in balsamic vinegar and topped with Feta cheese!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SLIDERS:
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey (I Used 85% Fat; It Has More Flavor)
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Coarsely Ground Pepper
  • 6 ounces, weight Container Feta Cheese, Crumbled
  • 1 package Slider Rolls, 8 Count
  • FOR THE BALSAMIC PEPPERS:
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 whole Green Bell Pepper, Sliced Into Strips
  • ¼ cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar

Preparation

Start by making the burgers. Combine the turkey, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Form into eight patties.

In a medium sized pan over medium high heat, add the burgers. After about 1-2 minutes, flip to the other side to brown. Reduce heat to medium and cook until done throughout.

Remove from heat onto a plate and cover with aluminum foil.

Make the peppers: In the same pan, heat the olive oil over medium-heat and then add the peppers. Add the water and cover partially with a lid to steam, stirring every couple of minutes for about 5-7 minutes. Add the remaining Worcestershire sauce, butter and vinegar, but don’t cover the pan this time. Cook until the peppers are softened and the moisture has evaporated. Turn the heat off and remove the peppers but don’t rinse the pan.

Blot each side of the rolls in the pan, picking up the remaining butter mixture – you’ll get bits of browned turkey burger in there too. You’ll like it, I promise.

Assemble burgers like you normally would a burger, adding the peppers and feta on top.
